I've graduated from IU and stepped out again into the big bad world. I'm originally from Bangalore, India. This is my first attempt at blogging, but I'm quite the reader. I also spend my time here , helping out.
And I love Douglas Adams. And PG Wodehouse.
I would do anything for a le-gen-dary sundae at Lakeview Milk Bar right now.
Pic from here.
Yellu-bella is a south indian tradition of sorts to celebrate a festival we call Sankranthi. Right now it’s my solace and comfort, as I’m sitting home alone on Valentine’s day, when I should have just bought a ticket to Seattle 3 weeks ago. The tickets got ridiculously expensive thereafter, and here I am moping and pining :(
Seeing the Tejas in flight always gives me goosebumps. My dad has spent years of blood, sweat and tears on this project, and every 100th flight of any of these 5 prototypes was always a moment of great pride for us. I have such good memories of all the Aero India air shows, and it kills me that I’m missing this year’s show. Those include the first time my Mom saw me drink wine, and she was not pleased! :)
Wish I was there :(

"Gap Analysis" :)
From Bangalore Daily Photo - this is why getting anywhere at all in Bangalore is, mildly put, difficult.
Is This The World's Best Airline Complaint Letter?
I cracked up! Fun idea: take a drink each time he writes “Richard.” You’ll be plotzed in 5.
WAAAY funny!
While listening to the fag end of this musical masterpiece from A.R.Rahman tonight, I was magically and inexplicably transported back to my childhood. When I would scale neighbours’ walls and hop over to my terrace rather than take their stairs, when we would sit on beds of gulmohar leaves, when we created ‘cork cricket balls’, when we played ‘crocodile crocodile which color do you choose’, traded trump cards, when we burnt paper using a magnifying glass, mom and I played badminton, I hosted drawing competitions for my neighborhood kids, I sat on my doorstep and sipped on Bournvita, watched Chitrahaar and Surabhi without fail. I miss those days of having so much to experience and not having a care in the world.
I guess I miss the tradition of watching the Republic Day Parade too.

So much loveliness!
Heaven is when you take joy in the moment. Looks like someone captured it here.
