I had posted this a while ago now, and it seems like some morons have tried to remake it. It’s, how do I say it, an epic FAIL. Bollywood does not equal India. Nowhere close.
Thanks to my roommate, we stumbled upon Baje Sargam - a classic from Doordarshan. I’m sure everyone my age from India remembers this song and how it made us feel - like we want to be somebody when we grow up; and that we live in a wondrous country that has so much to offer. I don’t want my kids growing up aspiring to be Bollywood fakes, thank you very much.
